My technician told me once that 100 years ago when houses weren't well insulated, it was much more important to keep them away from outside walls than it is today. Perhaps a low freestanding bench under the window? I've heard different things about pianos on outside walls. I would also second the recommendation for updating the window treatment.

It could be a corner sectional, or a sofa on one wall plus another reading chair (or two) on the adjacent wall. Then I would take the corner of the room where the piano is now and arrange a seating group there. Make it a special feature visible from the entry way. If that's the case, I would move that beautiful piano to the opposite wall from where it is now, and build in book cases to either side and above it. I'm going to base this on the assumption that the door just beyond the room in the first picture is the front door. I can't tell what is on the opposite wall, but it will need to carry some weight there also. BTW, an oriental rug may help with disguising some of the issues.the pattern seems to absorb little infractions, where a light carpet outlines them. I like the chairs squared to face each other and the ones closer to the study can be placed closer together. If you use lighter textured patterns on the two additional chairs, they would be the ones closer to the piano and the heavier darker leathers farther away. The cluster could end up being slightly off-center from the hearth. Futz with placement of chairs so that total weight of the room is balanced. It could be replaced with a taller element, glass display case for example. Take the bookcase off the study wall because it will lend too much weight to that area. For a table, a high-low table could serve for cocktails or card playing. Add two more chairs.I wouldn't have them matching, but of the same genre as each other and same weight as the leathers.
The keyboard would then be at an angle to the room, which is a little more inviting for player and audience. You may even want to steal some inches from the study passageway by sending the nose of the piano there.
Shove the piano as close to study wall as possible.
